Given ours and his combined injury woes, I think we dodged a massive bullet.

I think you'll find that we wanted to sign Sturridge but our spastic chairman couldn't do the deal. For once his rank ineptitude came in handy. The useless cunt.

Who cares if he would come here. Would have been an absolute waste of money. Horribly overrated and injury prone. Although we do have a hard time laying off that type of player so maybe it is a good thing.

There once was a footballer named Sturridge But it seems he was made out of porridge Any touch or small kick Made him physically sick So his physio called him "Sweet courage".

Sullivan was never going to go anywhere near Sturridge.
A pointless thread.

So beating Liverpool in the cup and signing Sturridge really worked well for Pardew.
Like it or not teams like us have to prioritise, that's just the way it is

Quite right too. I just do not understand how a professional athlete can have such a weak body! Mind you I played until I was 49 with only one injury that stopped me turning out every week. Rubbish reserve team football by then but even so.
I think it has become too easy for players to collect a massive contract for years without working for it. In fact I'm sure many feign injury to avoid the pressures of performing....

I don't believe that G&S weren't interested in Sturridge considering he's been linked with us for a good couple of years now.
It would not have surprised me if we'd have signed him. It's not as if previous transfer experiences have told us that they know what they are doing is it?

I’m surprised with all the medical & conditioning staff these clubs have that they can’t : Test the state of his hamstrings before he goes out Make sure he warms up properly
Of course Sturridge has to cooperate with all this and prepare properly

He would be great in one of then non tackling and running leagues for the over 50's.

Last year or the year before Klopp was questioning his mental fitness rather than physical - he was suggesting that he just needed to be tougher. If his manager is saying that in public then it must be at quite a level.

someone should buy him a copy of the boom "becoming a supple leopard". sounds ridiculous but it'll change his life.
i bet he doesn't even know how to organise his spine properly.
